Limestone is a very important part of the Peak District and we can spend the day showing you how it was formed and how it has shaped the land around us. A short walk around Mam Tor (Britain’s highest roman fortification), Chrome Hill or similar Peak District gem provides a mass of evidence and the views are not only stunning but also brimming with evidence about the geology of the land. Other little nuggets of information about the area may also be thrown in as we travel around, and maybe even the odd story!
